My latest and on going pieces, mainly monochromatic, reflect
a time of nostalgia, an era in history , though long gone, one to which I can identify longingly. Working from old photographs and charcoal adaptations
I portray a period in history wherein life seemed simpler, sweeter and wonderfully American. From the innocent act of dressing oneself carefully before
a bedroom mirror to witnessing the new sound of a New Orleans band, life in the early twentieth century has always excited and intrigued me.
Though I use color sparingly to accentuate a mood most of my art is executed in shades of sepia and blue best suited for evoking that old world feel.
